Chevrolet Tahoe police pursuit vehicle (PPV) was designed from its inception to be a law enforcement vehicle. Powered by a Vortec 5.3-liter V-8 engine delivering 320 hp and 340 lb.-ft. of torque. Features four-speed automatic transmission with overdrive. Wide front and rear tracks (68.2 ins. and 67 ins., respectively) enhance handling and lower the center of gravity. Comes with H-rated steel-belt radial tires mounted on 17-in. steel wheels. Standard equipment includes a 26-gal. fuel tank, 160-amp alternator, heavy-duty 730 CCA battery with run-down protection and extended-life spark plugs. Tahoe PPV delivers 60.3 cu. ft. of cargo capacity with second-row seats fully upright and 108.9 cu. ft. with second-row seats folded. Safety features include standard dual-stage driver’s front air bag, available roof-mounted head-curtain side air bags with rollover protection for all seating rows, and front-seat safety belt pretensioners that are linked to vehicle’s sensing system to provide deployment in rear-end crashes.
