The SafeDrive MiniDVR is an event-based mobile digital video recorder (DVR) that installs on a vehicle windshield and has both a forward-facing, road-view camera and a rear-facing, cabin-view camera. Video, audio and metadata are recorded on a CompactFlash card. The DVR can record post-event snapshots as it transfers motion video onto the flash card for storage. An internal battery backup enables recording to continue until the car battery dies. The DVR automatically records speeding, erratic driving and crashes or can be triggered manually. GPS map coordinates, G-force data, vehicle speed, event trends and audio are recorded and tracked.
