Carrier's AC-430 offers mid-size and school bus fleets high-performance cooling in an energy-saving package. The unit produces 15 kW (51,000 Btu) of air-conditioning capacity at ARI (Air Conditioning Refrigeration Institute) cooling conditions, with a total electrical consumption of 42A/80A at 24V/12V, respectively. The AC-430 system uses the company's micro-channel heat exchanger (MCHX) coil technology, which offers efficient heat transfer and thermal performance. MCHX technology has been widely used in vehicles since the early 1980s.
