Tate, a designer and manufacturer of raised access flooring solutions, has released a free brochure that explains the use of underfloor service distribution (UFSD). Titled “High Performance & Sustainable Developer and Multi-Tenant Leased Buildings,” the 20-page brochure covers beneficial aspects of UFSD, such as improved ventilation, noise attenuation, and reduced operating and maintenance costs. In addition to onsite photography and illustrations that compare traditional overhead service distribution to underfloor service distribution, the brochure highlights four case studies from UFSD users. The brochure also includes information about Tate's interactive cost modeling tool, which is designed to evaluate cost differences between overhead service distribution and underfloor service distribution.
