Wireless driveway monitors detect vehicles leaving or entering. Both solar- (STI-34100) and battery-powered (STI-34150) offer a 433-megahertz wireless frequency for improved transmission. A magnetometer sensor system detects movement of any large metallic (iron or steel) object. When a vehicle activates the receiver, the sensor requires a 10-to-15-second reset time before the next vehicle will be detected. The receiver continues to chime audibly each time a vehicle passes. The sensor may be placed as far as 1,000 feet (line of sight) from the receiver indoors. Up to three additional driveway monitors can work together as a system. An optional lamp controller can automatically turn on a lamp.
