The FireVu video smoke-detection system is designed to detect smoke in large areas and other challenging environments. The system uses CCTV cameras to identify smoke at its source, while computer analyses of images from the cameras track smoke and flame patterns. FireVu products are flexible, allowing users to define multiple camera zones and a set of parameters that provide complete control over the detection algorithm. The parameters can be configured individually and modified remotely, while information from multiple cameras can be combined to enhance the detection process.
