Notifier, a Honeywell company, recently obtained an FM (Factory Mutual) 6320 listing for its NFS2-3030 fire- and gas-detection system. The system interfaces to industry-standard 4-20-milliamp devices using Notifier's FMM-4-20 module. Through the module, the NFS2-3030 system can collect, display and act on the data received from gas-detection devices or hundreds of other commonly used sensors. The FMM-4-20 module connects to the NFS2-3030 via the SLC (signaling line circuit) and is user-programmable for up to five different thresholds, which can be labeled individually as any one of the following conditions: fire, security, supervisory, non-fire trouble, pre-alarm, non-fire and critical process. The NFS2-3030 system is suitable for a wide range of applications, including schools, dormitories, office buildings, hotels, indoor swimming pools, manufacturing and industrial plants and warehouses.
