The OmniPage Professional 17 is a document conversion and scanning application for Microsoft Windows. The application encourages a paperless office by scanning and converting documents directly into Microsoft Office and creating fully formatted documents complete with text, columns, tables and graphics. OmniPage 17 allows users to capture paper documents, articles and signs using cell phone cameras and then correct for distortion once the files are downloaded. A “Scan-to-Kindle” feature reformats documents for easy reading and navigating using the Kindle 2 form-factor. OmniPage also creates the document text needed for using the search and the synthesized text-to-speech “read-aloud” feature that is built into the Kindle 2 and other devices.
