The AS-990 is designed for printing addresses, barcodes and graphics on envelopes. The device, with 600-dpi resolution, can handle up to 2 million duty cycles per month. It prints personalized messages directly onto the mail piece. By leveraging CASS-certified address-management software, the AS-990 automatically confirms and corrects addresses to eliminate undeliverable mail. It has an output of 26,000 envelopes per hour and is equipped with nine fixed heads. The fixed print heads simultaneously print addresses, graphics and customized messages in a 3- to 4.5-inch print area. A top-loading, continuous-feed feature loads items while the printers are in use.
