The Membrane Removal Head is designed to fit onto standard MILLHOG welding end prep tools to remove boiler tube membrane, overlay, and bevel tube simultaneously. It fits five different MILLHOG tools that cover a tube range from ⅞- to 3-inch O.D. for removing the membrane and overlay (cladding) from the tube's outer surface. The product features proprietary Golf “T” inserts for assembling the head, which make 360-degree contact with the holder. As the head rotates, the holding forces of the inserts are multiplied, which minimizes vibration, reduces heat and maximizes the life of the inserts. The “T” inserts may be installed and removed without wrenches. There are no screws or screwheads to break. The head comes in two styles, one to remove membrane only and another that also removes the overlay. Both can be fitted with a blade to bevel the tube simultaneously.
