The plastic hospital storage pallet stores food, sanitary supplies, sterile goods, lab solutions and medical records. The pallet measures 40 × 48 × 6 inches and will support 2,000 pounds. Constructed of high-density polyethylene, the pallet weighs 15 pounds, making it 75 percent lighter than wood pallets, according to the company. The pallet nests neatly when not being used; 10 pallets fit in a stack 3 feet high. The pallet can be steam-cleaned or washed, or can be sterilized for sanitary handling. It is inert to most solvents, harsh chemicals, mildew, mold, insects and other pests.
