The 3-by-3-millimeter OSLON SSL ultra-white LED light, with an 80-degree beam angle, is designed to shine light into external lenses, such as those used in spotlights and floodlights. A low thermal resistance prevents overheating at high currents. That enables the LED to shine more brightly (the OSLON ultra-white model's operating current of 350 milliamperes produces 110 lumens) while maintaining typical LED energy-saving performance: the SSL's luminous efficiency is 100 lumens per watt. The light also is available in warm and neutral white, and its small size allows for flexibility with design.
