Park District Adds Modern Restroom With Rustic Look

At Farewell Bend, the newest river park in the Bend (OR) Metro Park and Recreation District, site amenities reflect a universal, rustic theme of the Western town. City officials selected a pre-engineered restroom and storage building to convey the same theme of nearby structures, which range from viewing shelters to rest stops for dogs. Called the Sierra Stretch Quattro, the restroom sports a custom exterior of stone and wood beams, which match the construction of an adjacent picnic shelter. Besides including 4, single-user restrooms, the structure has a center storage room with 6-ft. door. The layout allows park workers to close 1 end of the building during the off-season to reduce operating costs and the chance of vandalism. Product line includes hundreds of pre-engineered structures made of concrete, steel, and/or wood.Romtec, Inc., Roseburg, OR
