The Walk-In Cooler Efficiency Kit helps foodservice and retail operations meet energy codes. The kit is a 24-volt device that is centered around the manufacturer's K-Zone air curtain. The curtain ranges in size from 3 to 6 feet in length. Opening the walk-in cooler door activates the one-speed K-Zone via a magnetic reed switch and immediately limits air infiltration with an airstream across the door opening. The cooler efficiency kit helps comply with the Energy Policy and Conservation Act (Section 312) for coolers and freezers made after Jan. 1, 2009.
