The Mutaflex seating concept allows facility managers to use a single space as a conference room, theater, banquet hall or an unobstructed open space for dances or other events. An electric motor drives the computer-controlled mechanical system that quietly slides seats and even complete workstations along recessed rails in the floor. All or part of the seating capacity can be stored beneath a stage that can be lowered into the floor. Some facilities can employ a hydraulically driven lift system that provides inclined seating on demand. Each system is custom-designed for its location with an array of options available. Workstations can be designed with accessibility to phone lines, Internet service, transportation systems, video monitors and others. Each seat is designed with a highly efficient heating and cooling module that can deliver conditioned air (warm or cool) from the pedestal, virtually unnoticed by the occupant.
