The HG6000E grinder recycles wood waste with four electric motors for diesel-free operation. Two motors power the grinder's hydraulic circuits and cooling system, while two others power the Duplex Drum in which cutting takes place. The drum's components include reversible hammers and cutter blocks that work twice as long as single-sided designs (according to the manufacturer); those, as well as the motor, are saved from excess wear and tear by the SmartGrind system, which stops and reverses feed when the motor is using more power than is efficient to process incoming material. The HG6000E can be mounted permanently on a skid or on a trailer for portability. Operators can control most functions on the grinder from up to 300 feet away with a wireless remote control.
