Facility managers have multiple speed options with the Aerix series of hand dryers. Speed can be adjusted upward for fast drying in sports centers, schools or theme parks, or turned down for quieter operation in museums or libraries. Models use 80 percent less electricity than similar dryers, and dry hands in as little as 10 seconds, according to the manufacturer. Hands-free- or pushbutton-operated models are available. A special security wrench opens the vandal-resistant front cover.
