Troy, Ohio-based Hobart Brothers has announced the expansion of its manufacturing operations into a new 65,000-square-foot facility located in Troy. The new facility will be used to increase production capacity for the company's welding consumables.

“We continue to see increases in both domestic and international demand for welding consumables, and are pleased to be able to invest in this expansion to support our growth,” said Grant Harvey, vice president and general manager.

Hobart Brothers anticipates adding 40 more staffers to its work force once the new plant is at capacity. Construction on the new building began this past fall and will be completed this spring. Other Hobart Brothers manufacturing facilities are located in Piqua, Ohio, and Woodstock Ontario.
