NIGP Awards First Supplier Certificates

The National Institute of Governmental Purchasing (NIGP) announced that three suppliers were awarded the Government Contractor Certificate (GCC) during a supplier class conducted in December 2005 in Fort Lauderdale. Those receiving certificates include Jim Owens, Director of Agency Relations, DemandStar by Onvia; Chris Robb, East Central Regional Manager, U.S. Communities; and Brian Utley, President and CEO, Periscope Holdings.

GCC classes cover new policies and trends impacting federal, state, and local government contracting; ethics; and the strategic role of the purchasing function in government agencies.
