The contract addresses the marked increase in need for uniforms that arose in response to an expanded PFPA personnel mission and responsibilities to provide force protection for the facility against a full spectrum of potential threats.

The PFPA was created in May 2002 by the Department of Defense (DoD) to provide basic law enforcement and security for the Pentagon after the terrorist attack against the facility on Sept. 11, 2001. In addition to law enforcement, the agency also handles operations security, building surveillance, crisis prevention, consequence management, counterintelligence, antiterrorism, hazmat and explosives, protection of high-ranking DoD officials, information technology and administrative issues.

ADS’ one-year contract with four additional option years could result in more than $20 million in new business for the company.

ADS supplies federal, state and local government agencies, including homeland defense, law enforcement, security, special warfare, marine and special operations, with tactical and special operations equipment. The company is a GSA contract holder, DoD email contract holder and a worldwide DLA prime vendor.
