Dalton, Ga.-based commercial carpet yarn system manufacturer Zeftron nylon is accepting applications for the inaugural Zeftron nylon Sustainable Practices Award. The award recognizes facility professionals who employ and use unique sustainable practices at work, at home and in their community.

The award is open to all facility professionals in the continental United States. Additionally, architecture and interior design professionals are encouraged to submit entries. The entries will be judged on originality and innovation of green practices. Ideas from the best entries will be compiled into Zeftron nylon's Best Practices and Green Tips, which will be made public at the end of the year as a resource for other professionals.

The winner will be announced in November and will receive a $2,000 grand prize donation in their name to an environmentally focused charity. The winner will be highlighted in news announcements and featured prominently on the Zeftron nylon Sustainable Practices Award Web site.

Entry forms are available at http://spa.zeftronnylon.com and may be submitted online. Entries will be accepted through Sept. 30, 2009. There is no cost to enter.
