Several conferences for public facilities managers are scheduled for 2011. The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) stages its Government Summit 2011: Fuel for a Clean Energy Economy on May 10-11 in Washington.

One of the educational programs at the conference will cover return on taxpayers' investment for green buildings and public facilities in government. Thomas Abdallah, chief environmental engineer at MTA New York City Transit, will moderate the session.
