Scheduling/resource-management software available through GSA contract
York Telecom, an Eatontown, N.J.-based provider of visual communication services, and PeopleCube, a Framingham, Mass.-based developer of scheduling and resource-management software, have entered into a strategic partnership to provide the federal government with a contract vehicle to purchase PeopleCube’s Resource Scheduler software.

With the addition of PeopleCube to York Telecom’s General Services Administration (GSA) Schedule GS-35F-0493K, more than 100 federal agencies and organizations will have the ability to purchase the software through a streamlined procurement vehicle.
PeopleCube’s software will help agencies conserve energy,
reduce energy costs, lower their carbon footprint and maximize use
of shared resources and assets, according to the two
companies.
“The combination of Resource Scheduler and York
Telecom’s Managed Collaboration Services will allow clients
to proactively manage and schedule all of their meeting-technology
resources, such as audio and video conferencing, meeting support
and portable AV technology,” said Ken Scaturro, senior vice
president of global sales and business development at York
Telecom.
End-users will find the fully integrated scheduling experience
efficient and easy to use, Scaturro asserted, while technology
managers will be attracted to the rich reporting and administrative
tools and the finance team will be “thrilled” by the
increased ROI on meeting technology assets.
The integration of Resource Scheduler creates an affordable
energy-management solution for government institutions and
enterprises that manage multiple, geographically dispersed
facilities as well as single-location organizations, according to
the two companies. Resource Scheduler is a Web-based workspace,
resource and energy-management product that allows users to quickly
and easily schedule shared resources and energy consumption with
just a few clicks.
“Given the rising social and economic pressures to go green,
energy conservation is no longer a choice for organizations but
rather a mandate,” PeopleCube President and CEO John Anderson
said. “Because the cost of energy continues to rise, managing
energy consumption to reduce costs is a necessity.”
