Covering the full spectrum of the e-sourcing cycle, the handbook is designed to help readers understand topics such as spend analysis, e-auctions, decision optimization and contract management, as well as where and when to apply these technologies for maximum benefit.

The book is said to weave together the best original content sponsored by Iasta, a Carmel, Ind.-based firm that specializes in global supply management.

Within the handbook, content from factual and informative Wiki articles is integrated with blog postings that are both controversial and opinionated in an innovative matter. Along with new original content, the handbook allows readers to see where the boundary lies between information and advocacy.
