Law enforcement sales of GPS units in 2007 spiked 270 percent over 2006, according to the company, with more than 1,000 new GPS tracking units deployed by over 200 local and federal agencies. The skyrocketing figures for law enforcement were mirrored by high demand in the non-government sector.

BrickHouse Law Enforcement, a division of New York-based BrickHouse Security, designs battery powered Magnetic GPS Tracking devices specifically for use by law enforcement and private investigators. Popular police applications for GPS technology are real-time location-based security, property-theft investigations, undercover operations, and fugitive and bail recovery as well as fleet management.
