NPI to Honor Miami-Dade County Dept. of Procurement Management
For the fourth straight year, the Miami-Dade County Department of Procurement Management (DPM) will receive NPI's Achievement of Excellence in Procurement.

Miami-Dade County DPM boasted that it has “transformed the
county’s procurement operations by streamlining business
processes, implementing technological innovations and encouraging
fair and open competition in the acquisition of goods and
services.”
“This is a significant honor that recognizes the fine,
professional work of our DPM staff, the progressive purchasing
policies of our Board of County Commissioners and the support of
the mayor and county manager,” Miami-Dade County DPM Director
Miriam Singer said. “This award affirms our commitment to
continued innovation in the management of the county’s
procurement department in accordance with best practices in the
purchasing profession.”
Miami-Dade County DPM procures goods and services valued at more
than $1.9 billion annually to support countywide operations. The
department manages vendor relations for more than 14,000 vendors
and manages more than 1,400 active contracts valued at
approximately $3 billion.
NPI will recognize this year's recipients of the Achievement of Excellence in Procurement at its 39th Annual National Conference and Exposition, which will be held Sept. 18-21 in Galveston, Texas.
