The Onvia Disaster Contracting Center enables government agencies in states such as Louisiana, Mississippi, Florida, and Texas to broadcast their procurement needs to relevant companies that supply products and services from among Onvia’s 26,000 business subscribers.

The free online service also helps companies find and respond to government procurement opportunities that address hurricane rebuilding, cleanup, and reconstruction. The site aggregates business opportunities from all federal, state, and local government agencies in need of assistance. Onvia has made the disaster information available to the public at no cost in order to expedite the recovery and reconstruction effort and to give businesses of all sizes the opportunity to contribute goods and services.

Site visitors can review government bids, RFPs, advance notices, and award information in contracting categories such as Architecture and Engineering, Construction, Training, and IT Services. Government procurement officers can also utilize the Onvia Disaster Contracting Center site to publicize requests for essential products and services.
